Species StandardsPreferred Habitat: Anywhere with lots of companionship. Diet: Malii are very picky eaters, and eat seafood only. If you have a Gem Malii, they may choose to eat poultry, but once you feed a Gem Malii either poultry or seafood, it sticks with that for the rest of its life. Wet cat food flavored like their favorite food serves as a special treat, and is handy while training. Call: Malii make a very soft sound as babies, somewhere between a meow and a baa, but they grow into loud 'BWARK' as they get older. Any Malii, male or female, no matter what breed, make a sound like a cross between a piano and a howl during breeding season, and the female picks the male with the sound closest to her own. Special Care Needs: Malii are extremely easy to care for, and aside from the occasional horn polishing (careful, it's sharp!), they don't need any more care than you would give a dog. Biology and Anatomy: Although they may look cat-like, these critters are actually more closely related to creatures such as the fossa and mongoose. Their five distinctive tails move uniformly, although it is possible for them to move one at a time, it is much like a human curling their toes- easier to move all at once. Their horns are quite sharp, and it isn't advised to test the tip on any vital body parts. Although their eyes are eerily white, Malii are perfectly capable of perceiving and understanding optic stimuli. Behavioral Study: Malii are perfectly capable of acquiring their own food, through differences in the breed differences section. However, through trial and error, researchers have found out that whatever type of Malii you have, they absolutely loathe having their tails touched. It is speculation that if a Malii allows its owner to touch its tail, good fortune will befall the owner. If you happen to have a Malii that allows you to touch, or even to stroke its tails, you either have a very stupid or a very loyal Malii. It is said that Malii that are cared for by one owner since they were eggs are the most loyal of all, and will allow you to pet their tails. Suggested Uses: Malii are companion animals by nature. |

Fire: Fire Malii are the most aggressive of the Malii breeds, and with the combination of their fire and their temper, they can be deadly to anyone who doesn't know how to take care of them! They can also be fierce fighters in the fighting pit, but only with the proper training and guidance. |
